Got a leaking Xros pod? Well you aren’t the only one. You might think that your pod is faulty, which it could well be. However, there is also the chance that there is something else going on. We love the Vaporesso Xros range here at Elite Liquid. I personally use the Vaporesso Xros 4, having moved over the Oxva Xlim Pro. Whilst using it, I have made mistakes which, as you might have guessed, have lead to the pods leaking.
Vaporesso Xros Range:
The Vaporesso Xros range is a popular series of pod vape kits known for their sleek design, excellent flavour delivery, and ease of use. They are suitable for both beginners and experienced vapers, offering a variety of coil options to cater to different vaping preferences. The Xros range features a fixed-coil pod system and is capable of both Mouth-To-Lung (MTL) and Direct-To-Lung (DTL) vaping styles. With their compact size and long-lasting battery life, the Xros devices are a convenient and enjoyable choice for vapers on the go.
Here is a list of all the Xros devices that Vaporesso have released to date:

Vaporesso Xros Pods:
These little guys are refillable pods that fit into your Vaporesso Xros vape. They’re designed to be leak-proof and give you a smooth, flavourful vape. You can choose from different resistances to get the perfect hit:
- 0.4Ω
- 0.6Ω
- 0.8Ω
- 1.0Ω
- 1.2Ω
Basically, they’re the cartridges that hold your e-liquid and make your vape work.
Leaking Pods:
Although they are designed to be leak-proof, you must have experienced a leak to be reading this. So, here are the things to look out for…
- It’s been over-filled. If you put too much e-liquid in to the pod, it will overflow into the coil, causing it to leak from the bottom and also if you try and vape, it will gurgle and spit at you. To prevent this from happening, don’t overfill it. Simple! My advice is to use the lip, where the bottom of the tip sits, as my max filling line.
- The driptip isn’t attached correctly. This is my most common fault. If you don’t fully connect the tip, as you inhale, it will suck the vape juice up and over in to the coil chamber. To prevent this from happening, ensure that the tip is fully clipped in to place.
- The pod is damaged. Got clumsy hands like me? If your pod has taken a significant impact, then it could well be damaged/cracked and that could be the cause of the leaking. The only fix for this is to be more careful.
- Finally, it’s a burnt out coil. If this is the case, you will need to replace the pod. Which is no bad thing, as it means you will get back to have a lovely tasting vape again.
If you are currently experiencing either of the first two, then here is how I get my pod back in a unusable state:
- Detach the pod and wipe the bottom of it clean.
- CAREFULLY clean the inside of your Xros device.
- Take gentle inhales of the pod, whilst still detached.
Conclusion
To bring this post to close, I would like to say something that you might be mildly offended by. If your Vaporesso Xros pod is leaking, it’s more than likely your fault. Fear not though, it’s easy to rectify, as outlined above.

Hi, thanks for this helpful info! I’m a little unclear about the part names & what they are exactly. I’m a new user of xros 4 which I really like. It’s been leaking into battery I discovered and found this post.. re overfilling, I’m unsure of what you mean by the lip and the tip, could you please let me know which parts these are? Thank you 😊

Hi,
We’re glad you have found it helpful!
By “tip” we are referring to the black mouthpiece that you remove in order to fill the pod.
“Lip” is the ridge where the bottom of the tip/mouthpiece sits.
I hope that makes sense!
Kind regards
